How can you help your staff with the 21st century skills?

• Be identified as the expert on 21st century skills
• Let the emphasis on research in Common Core Language Arts standards be your "hook"
• Share Point and Web 2.0 tools like Skype, wikis, blogs, to collaborate, make contact with experts
• How do you change teaching and learning with the technology? Librarians need to have this vision and share it.
• Every librarian should read Joyce Valenza's Manifesto for a 21st Century Librarian
• Teaching kids to sift and filter and evaluate resources - make sure they have this skill! (information literacy)
